Magnesium Industry of Liaoning's Yingkou: Science and technology helps promote magnesium Industry going global

　　Because of its unique resource advantages, Liaoning magnesia products in China account for nearly 90% of the domestic market share and nearly 60% of the international market share. Among them, most of them are "produced in Yingkou". Yingkou Dashiqiao is also known as the "magnesium city of China". Its magnesium refractories have covered 60% of the domestic market and 40% of the international market.

　　Nowadays, with the continuous improvement of science and technology, magnesium products have seen the change from "Yingkou production" to "Yingkou creation".

　　In the first half of this year, Yingkou famous magnesium enterprise Jiachen Group has completed ultra-pure magnesia research and development and has put it into production. The purity of the product is higher than 98% and the volume density reaches 3.42g/cm3. The process of "Jiachen ultra-pure magnesium" with natural magnesite as raw material has also become a first in the world. For the magnesia industry, an increase of 1 percentage point in purity means that the refractory temperature of magnesia brick has increased by another 200 degrees Celsius. The progress means a far-reaching impact on industries involving high-temperature operation such as steel, cement and glass.

　　At present, with the advantage of resources and scale effect, under the catalysis of scientific and technological progress, magnesium industry has developed into a characteristic industry of Yingkou economy. There are 646 magnesium products enterprises in the city, of which 155 are enterprises above designated size. The CPC Yingkou Committee and the municipal government attach great importance to the green development of the magnesium industry and regard building the headquarters economy of magnesia materials as a new model for the development of innovative industries. In the future, Yingkou magnesium industry will focus on the core enterprises, build through the supply chain platform, integrate enterprise resources, and form an overall force to promote the common development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
